I would say for a helmet, get the Reebok 6-k helmet, its just as durable and protective as the 8-k for a better price. As far as shoulder pads go i'd get the expensive pads if i were you, i learned that by breaking my collar bone that you wanna get the best you can get so i`d try the Bauer one95 shoulderpads, They have the Max-sorb protection system and they feel great on your body.
