Fit While

Get fit and do your bit for the community
I have felt like I could give a little more back to my community in the past months. However I never really considered combining charity work with doing something that I enjoyed, and I could also squeeze in a bit of exercise. I found a Bike Ride, that i didn't know about, but I had heard more about recently, it had been running for years.
I found out that it had been growing in popularity and is quickly becoming a major event every year. The bike ride is run by the Lions club and the Round Table with many supporters including a local radio station called Bright FM on 106.4. The bike ride had been getting a lot of publicity over the past few months and last year over 750 cyclists took part.
This bike ride raises money for the St Peter and St James Hospice that take care of terminally ill patients. They provide them with the care and support they require in their time of need. Even more surprising was that when I searched deeper into this Bike Ride I found that people all over England were attending it.
So I have signed myself up and look forward to taking part in the 40 mile route. You don't have to go for the 40 mile route, if you want to take your children you can because there is a 20 and 10 mile route, but they have to be accompanied by an adult. So if you want to stay fit and test yourself you can take part in the Burgess Hill Bike Ride and you can also raise a little money for the hospice that it supports. Now i can't wait to get on board with this cycle event and will be happy to join almost a thousand cyclists, maybe more. So do some exercise and keep fit while you help out a charity thqat needs to raise 3600 pounds everyday to keep running.
And I hope to see you there too!!
What are some things I can do to stay fit while recovering?
I had knee surgery recently and I'm on crutches and will be for a few more weeks. What can I do to stay in good shape? Like exercises I can do while sitting down or laying down. I want to tone my tummy and arms, and my good leg could use some exercise too! Any suggestions?
I'm in physical therapy starting next week but i want to start now. just a few exercises would be great. thanks
i had knee surgery. aren,t you going to physical therapy? if not, you should be. there are exercises specifically for recovering knee patients on web sites for physical therapy.
Keep fit while traveling
